Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

JESUS GIVES US REST.
It’s hard to walk with heavy baggage weighing us down. And all of us have “weights” that we carry throughout our lives— burdens of guilt, fear, sadness, and anger.
Jesus promises that if we trade our burdens in for His, He will give our souls rest. In Jesus, we can finally set down the weights we’ve been dragging behind us and simply rest in His gentleness and strength.
Paul tells us to “carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2). When we strengthen and care for each other, we are acting like Jesus. Because that’s exactly what He does for us.
